Pros

At least they are nice to you while they lie to your face.

Cons

You will most likely lose money working at this job. You need your own car, a computer (not a mac) and a cell phone. You have to pay for your own course (they say they are paying $150 of it, but that's a discount they get) You pay for your own test. They make you sign saying you are an independent contractor. But then tell you where to be, what to say, how to say it, and the materials you will be using which according the IRS makes you an employee and eligible for minimum wage and benefits. You call hundreds of people from your own phone and if they don’t answer you just hang up. They teach you how to change your number using apps so that you can call the same person multiple times a day using different cell phone numbers. They tell you that you are only calling Union employees who requested their service. Then you call a ton of people who are not Union employees and tell them you are calling from a different service that provides child safety kits. You also read a script that misrepresents you a representative calling on behalf of Police Unions. When you show up at homes for meetings they most of the time don’t know the real reason you are there. In the 4 months I was with this company I was put into some very unsafe situations, and eventually made less than $100 profit (before taxes) (after paying back my license fees, class and testing fees, a $200 laptop, and gas to get to my appointments). Very High Turnover. Deceptive Recruitment Techniques Deceptive Sales techniques.

Pros

You can set your own schedule

Cons

There is not a great emphasis on finding the right insurance solution for customers, but on making a sale. You set up appointments based on giving a small AD&D policy based on affiliation with a union or association and then launch into a sales pitch. It feels disingenuous.

Pros

Possibility of making alot of money

Cons

Commission position only. The office seemed very divided and cult like. High turnover rate. Poor training while a script is forced down your throat. Your expected to know the script word for word. They expect you to be making sales right out the gate with no experience.
