Pros

Training was very straight forward, and it was an extremely positive community. It was also remote.

Cons

This is an MLM company. Whether you like my MLM statement or not, it is what it is. no salary, it's commissions, bonus, and renewals only as an agent with them. This job forces you to double down and be a salesman/woman to sell insurance policies to everyone, including the poor people. It doesn't feel right to me that American Income forces you to use countless rebuttals to sell to people in poverty. Sure insurance can save people's family.. but if they can't feed their children because of a subscription, then management will push you to keep shoving a policies down their ears with pre-written scripts to ensure a sale. One of the American Income Life rebuttals was , "This isn't a high pressure sales pitch." I laughed because every client presentation I was shown was absolutely high pressure. I left because I'm too genuine, and I used to be poor. I feel bad pushing policies towards the poor every single day while management is watching my sales like a hawk. It just wasn't for me, and that's okay. It might be for you. Who knows?

Pros

Working from home was great, and there are a few great workers who really want you to succeed

Cons

There is no training and you are not payed for any of your time spent working. This job was advertised as salary but it is not! Commission only. You have to pay for all you own equipment and are not reimbursed for it. A LOT of cold calling. It is essentially a pyramid scheme.
