Pros

You can Make your own hours.

Cons

They require you to have a Zoom account subscription but they don’t pay for it, is out of your pocket. They require you to make at least 100 phone calls a day and don’t provide a phone for that, they expect you to use your personal phone for business. They provide leads but they give all the same leads to a bunch of people so one person may receive a call from at least 5 other people a day, so you can imagine how pissed they are when picking up the phone. No base pay at all, only commission so like I said before most days you pretty much pay to work for them. Training is tedious and they have the same script to every agent not giving you the chance to have your own sales strategy. So you basically have no flexibility to use your sales expertise if you have any, and if the scrip they give to you is not working you have no choice. They use a really old software, doesn’t work on Mac or modern computers with windows 11. They support have no idea how to help, you gotta figure that out yourself. Most calls you do people say that they don’t even recall giving their number for it, so you can ended up having your personal phone number reported as scam or spam, so good luck with that.

Pros

No pros at all.

Cons

They pay you as an "independent contractor" by Cheque, which is - as usual, LATE. They sell the job to you by saying they're Unionized so you get your paycheck WEEKLY, but that's only applicable to the agents. Not to "recruiters" which get paid 3-6 weeks LATE. But when they DO pay you, IF they do, they deduct "union fees" even when you aren't unionized. So you're only "unionized" when it's beneficial to them. On the other hand, paying by personal cheque means it's money out of your manager's pocket, so forget a 2-minute washroom break or a breather. They want you harassing and calling 50 people over and over again even when they express their disinterest in the entire scam.

Thank you for your feedback. Your experience as a Recruiter with AIL does not represent our training and management style and we apologize that your expectations weren't met. We're always looking for ways to improve our team members' experience and listening to former recruiters is a good way to help make the process better. We hope that you have a successful and productive future ahead.

Pros

Great co-workers, fully unionized with benefits, provides leads. Unique financial products which actually solve material problems, not just throwing a big cheque at a grieving widow.

Cons

Leads are little better than cold calling, disingenuous/dishonest lead generation, people sign up for a child safety kit and they get a life insurance pitch, high pressure sales. Little to no support, 100% commission, literally no one cares about you if you’re not selling, structured like a pyramid scheme, dishonest recruiting using skewed stats, majority of your time is spent cold calling. Low commission rates vs competitors, small amount of products which are generally over priced. Zero support with service items. All your start up fees are your own. Expect to work 6-7 days a week 12 hours a day at times with no compensation.
