Pros

I can only speak for AIL Canada. No cold calling, or door knocking, Really high commission rates, lots of training, agent quality over quantity, guaranteed to make more money each year due to renewals, really nice management, leads supplied. You don't see any bad reviews on the products because it really is a good package your selling. Only bad reviews are from people who might have been in a bad office in USA and didn't make it because of that.

Cons

100% commission, wont make any money for a month due to being required by law to pass a one month insurance course, can take a couple months of only 1000-2000 a month until you become good enough to start making 3000-7000 a month.

Pros

NONE. I have nothing positive to say about this company. It was a complete waste of my time, money and energy to drive for the interview and then for the first day of training, i.e., first day of employment. The trainer read the information from the video presentations from the computer training.

Cons

Very much bait with information from current employees regarding high salaries, many promotions in short time if you work hard, no cold calling necessary because there is already a captive audience of interested persons who want to buy the product...all that the Benefits Rep has to do is present the product; no selling required. This is all a lot of deception. The training room was very cold and I caught the flu as a result. Management did not return my call when I called in to report I was sick and would not be attending the training. There is NO sincere caring for the people who expressed interest in wanting to become Benefits Reps. In the presentation, the information and the speakers make you feel as though there is a possibility of a Human Resources position in addition to the Sales position, when actually, the two are rolled into one position, which you really don't find out about until the first day of training. The employed speakers who say they are making phenomenal amount of money are very reluctant to answer direct questions from intelligent persons. A TRUE SCAM!!! The system won't allow you to enter the name of the city where you were employed. The AIL really does not want to receive honest appraisals from honest, hardworking, ethical people.

Pros

- Potential for high income - Renewables and passive income - Leads are provided unlike in other insurance positions - Great uplink support

Cons

- Leads are 95% cold and not many are provided, with further leads based exclusively on your production. - Referrals are REQUIRED which is difficult to obtain considering the terrible referral incentives and extremely limited insurance products. - Middle management is an absolute mess. You are stuck in "training" for months only to keep being told to learn new things and that the old things they taught you are wrong or irrelevant. DO NOT enter to this field without having other work to do during the licencing and training phase. - Turnover rate is extremely high, for good reason, and therefore your long-term passive income is most likely not going to manifest for most people.
