NOT any kind of MLM

Pros

The Pay starting out is incredible. They offer Lifetime Residuals which causes you to really Invest with your Clients. The emphasis has always been on Providing the Clients with Options that would Fit their Budget...not selling them something they can not afford (which would actually Hurt the Company and the Client...the only person who MIGHT benefit from that is the Salesperson...) Since our Customer Base is Mainly Unions, we are a Union First Company. We offer FREE BENEFITS (like the Child Safe Kit and the Discount Card) as incentives to allow us to present Protection Plans to you...you are not required to listen to a Sales Pitch...we hope we prove our value enough so that you are interested in hearing what we have to offer...

Cons

Currently it is 100% Virtual. So you must be self-motivated.

Definitely an MLM

Pros

Only pro to this job is I got a good rate on my licensing study materials, and now have 4 state licenses I can take elsewhere. You don't pay for leads, but other legitimate businesses don't seem to charge for that either.

Cons

This is absolutely a Multi-level Marketing scheme. And they will absolutely steamroll your life... A "Supervising Agent" hires you, trains you, maybe chucks $100 your way for dialing and getting them some sales, and immediately has you begin recruiting before you're even out of training. The idea is to get you to SA status as quickly as possible ( get 10 sales in a month and one hire, and look at that you'rea supervisor now), so they can get to MGA status, and make a better commission. *TL;DR they make money off your sales, you make money off your underlings sales; aka MLM. NEXT ISSUE: there is no pay if you don't make sales. This also affects your "union Healthcare reimbursement" as you have to hit 12k in sales per quarter to qualify. And you don't get that until 90d mark anyways. You'll also only receive $700ish reimbursement per month, and if you've looked at the cost of Healthcare recently, you'll know how little this does if you have a family or want to start a family. On top of all of this; there's this massive disregard for religious belief (or lack-there-of ) that isn't heavily Christian. This may be an office to office issue, but they tend to be overly Christian. They (the people who agree with the "leaders") also clain to live by the "platinum rule"; do more for others, than you would want done for you... except that their behavior (expensive lifestyles, buying up large amounts of property, and supposedly Altig himself bought a historic landmark somewhere?) proves otherwise. There are a few who seem to donate and help others, but the vast majority do not, and don't want you saying anything negative in the zoom meeting (you have to be online during office hours) for fear of "letting negativity enter their lives" (that's not how life works, y'all). All in all, not worth your time thanks to the commission only, pushing to recruit, and a false "positive vibes only" bunch of MLM deniers.

Pros

You are technically self employed. This may be the job for you if you are good at sales.

Cons

You are expected to work long hours and are only paid on commission. You have to attend training and master the script before they send you into the field and this time is not paid. They advertise no cold calling but you spend hours calling people who have no interest who were basically tricked into giving their information for another purpose. The office is very laid back if thats what you prefer, but I did not appreciate the constant vaping. I worked here for weeks and did not receive fair compensation because I believed in the statistics about commission that they pitch you. If you are not a sales person and you don't want to waste time trying to convince people to buy insurance they don't want this isn't for you. Especially because you work at the clients house. You make a schedule for field days and most appointments are no-shows. People will cancel on you and you are told to go door knocking on your down time.
