Pros

Commission program is nice up front.

Cons

The leads promised are crappy. Many of them have been berated by AIL reps and are tired of being called. if you do not like cold calling, stay away. Did not like the bait and switch tactics for getting into potential customers homes.

Thank you for your review. We're glad you benefited from our generous commission schedule but disappointed our agent position didn't meet your expectations. This position does require hard work and dedication in order to succeed and is not for everyone. It can be a very rewarding career both financially and personally for the right individual. Good luck to you in the future.

Pros

Really nice people to be around, valuable learning experiences, chance to make good money if everything is operating the way it should and you put the work in.

Cons

Your told that you are your own boss and you make your own schedule but they are constantly telling you what to do like a typical employer and employee relationship. You have to go to the office 3 days a week and call for 8 hours in front of them and train after you already been licensed and released and your not paid for it. I could understand maybe a meeting once a week but if your required to be there 3 days a week then that’s like having a part time job and not being paid for it. You can call from home and have the same result without having someone listen and criticize every phone call. My leads were three years old and sometimes they just didn’t give me any like they are supposed to. The leads are horrible except some Union leads. Instead of focusing on selling life insurance your trying to bait people into meeting you with child safe kits and will kits. You go to drop them off and try to sell them insurance. It’s a bait and switch. They kept wanting me to secretly record my presentations without the homeowners knowledge and I felt very uncomfortable doing that considering they are giving me their personal information and trusting me. It’s not against the law here and I understand they wanted to see where I needed help but there are more ethical ways to do that. You literally feel owned and controlled by them. They were very mis leading in the interview process and said I would make 1000 a week on average in the first year. But if my leads weren’t 3 years old and they gave them to me like they are supposed to then it could be possible to make good money. If people look up company reviews they are horrible and it makes it harder to sell insurance.

Thank you for your review and your valuable contributions to our AIL team and customers. We’re glad you benefited from our generous compensation plan while at AIL but disappointed it wasn't a good long-term career fit. This position does require a sales-minded individual and isn't for everyone. However, as you know, with hard work and dedication this can be an extremely productive career financially and personally. Thank you for your contribution to our AIL team and best wishes to you in the future.
