Pros

The good news is that you can make money but that isn’t a guarantee.

Cons

American Income Life can be defined in one word, “MLM “multi-level marketing, They talk about the world greatest bonus, that’s a myth to fool applicants, even if the there is such a bonus it’s like a lamp in my room, I can see it but can’t touch it. You will have to go through extensive unpaid training oh I wasted my time, for 1 to 2 months , but you see the training isn’t the deal, the deal is you gotta bring for them peoples, they won’t tell you that in time, but they want you to figure it out, the sooner the better because every salesman has ropes around their necks. This is a 100% commission job, but they don’t advertise it as such. So, if you wanna enter into such business make sure you have a loan somewhere in case you can’t pay your bills. You got to spend 60 hours every week trying, trying and trying to sell something to members who don’t want the products. Full of tricks and tricksters oh boy I wasted my money for licenses, I almost felt like working for the underworld kingdom except they don’t kill you. There is a reason why they have to watch motivational videos in the meeting, this is a weekly deal not a monthly.

Pros

If you're a top performer (which I was, w-9 was 110k for 2021) you can get a re up of leads and will be taken care of. If you have a solid team under you writing business you get huge overrides, bonus matching etc. Work from home - Zoom appointments only

Cons

Leads are trash, literally. Most people get called multiple times already or already been sold, or have said no. They still end up in your lead pack and continue getting recycled. They encourage you to recruit people to join your team. But it's hard to keep people when they get garbage leads and can't make a single sale, so you have to throw them your appointments so they can pay their bills. Which takes away from your pay. They try to accommodate the lead problem by encouraging you to collect as many referrals as possible from your presentation. When I say referral I mean it's literally just a name and a number that the person gave you. They have code requirements, meaning you have to hire a certain amount of people and they have to make a sale every month. If you fail to get your codes, you lose your team's overrides/bonuses etc. You're selling to people who weren't looking for insurance in the first place. Which can be good because the life insurance lead space is heavily saturated, but this tends to come with more cancellations/chargebacks. Overall, you can do well for yourself here as a solo agent if you prove yourself. But don't expect your team to do well. Best leads (POS) are really only given to top performers.

Pros

I did not see any pros. Believe me you do not even want to consider this company

Cons

The management uses evasions and out right lies to sign employees so that they can make a hefty bonus. The office is a joke, 1/2 the outlets don’t work (so forget plugging in your laptop), roller chairs with missing rollers. They tell you that you’ll get paid for training, that’s not true. You don’t get paid until you make a sale then the managers take their share. I’m $250 in the hole because it’s mandatory that you pay for a pre license course, pay to take the exam then pay for the license. What a racquet.
