Great place to work if you have no soul!

Pros

You are in bed with Satan!

Cons

If you have a shred of decency and moral backbone, this place ain't for you. The (ancient) leads are lower-class families who are suckered into letting you into their homes under the guise of a "child-safety" kit which they requested months or even years ago. Once in, you are expected via a tightly controlled script to flip it and sell them life insurance that anyone with an education would know is terrible. I was in the field with my trainer for one day and he cheerfully confirmed that this was a classic bait-and-switch. I lasted a day because I have, you know, MORALS.

Since we have two agencies in San Jose, we invite you to send us an email to AILfeedback@ailife.com with specific location details so that we can look further into your experience and take steps to make the agents' path to success clearer at this agency. We look forward to hearing back from you soon.

Pros

Ability to advance, positive work environment

Cons

In Chesterfield, as a newbie expect to be in office M and TH 9 am -9pm for calls and meetings. No choice to call on Sundays when the big boss feels like it. Frequent last minute meetings. Door Knocking. Calling members from unknown numbers, very similiar to cold calling. "Fresh leads" are not FRESH and many agitated and will hang up. Members standing you up. Bait and switch model. My location was unorganized. Didnt care about family time. 2 week field training is too fast

Pros

There are none... this business is a grift

Cons

You're superiors will be arrogant and ill-informed: a terrible combination. You will be promised many things, but more than 50% of my fellow agents walk away with $0 a week half of the time. There are weekly meetings where it feels like more of a cult gathering, than a business meeting. If you're in sales, I'm sure you know, when you feel like your being sold a job, DON'T TAKE IT. My initial interview was a dead giveaway that I was being sold a bad deal. In my defense I was desperate... Lesson learned
