Pros

If you can cold call people actually get them to meet you and convince them to buy insurance day in and day out you could make a lot of money

Cons

Cold calling. False advertising. LONG hours. Work from your car

Thank you for your review. We're sorry that our AIL Agent position didn't meet your expectations. This position does require hard work and dedication in order to succeed and is not for everyone. It can be a very rewarding career both financially and personally for the right individual. Best of luck in your future career path.

Bait and Switch. No Honesty

Pros

In theory you can make your own schedule, There is potential to make a lot of money.

Cons

You are never really off work. You are always to be making phone calls (Hundreds a day) , The leads they give you have been recycled through so many agents that people get very angry since they've already been called 10+ times. There is no guaranteed pay . They advertise this job as a salary position and its NOT. its 100% commission. They also fill craigslist with vague job postings to get people to apply. You have to drive out of state and get several different insurance licenses to have the potential of making any money. Even when you do make a sale, if they cancel the policy you then have that "charge back" taken out of your next check. Once you're a manager you have to give your sales to your trainees so you don't really make money once you're a manager right away. You're out of state and away from home days at a time. The leads you are calling don't know you are trying to sell them insurance. They signed up for a free service and you use that as a reason to call them. It is 100% a sales job as much as they tell you it isn't. Its a ton of cold calling, having your number blocked, and dealing with people that regret signing up for the free service now that they know this comes with it.

Pros

Money is good..if you don't mind screwing people and not seeing your family.

Cons

Guise themselves as a agency that works with nothing but unions...which of course is BS. Lot of long hours driving around on your own dime no benefits no time off all commission. Their "leads" are mostly recycled garbage...their "managers" are arrogant smarmy and condescending. And they'd belittle you if you can't close deals but will also make you feel like crap if you want to quit. I couldn't reccomend a place less
