Thank you for your insightful feedback regarding your time with AIL. We're happy to hear that you benefited from our bonus structure, leads, and thorough training but disappointed it wasn't a good long-term career fit. We appreciate your contribution to our team's success and wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

The money was alright, but only when you sold. And most people didn't sell. Also, if you averaged it out most of the agents in the OC SOUTH OFFICE are making less than minimum wage.

Cons

Slimy business model. Horrible managers. Oh and they pretty much lie to you the whole time. You need to lie to the customers to get into their house. They expect you to work 7 days a week 12 hours a day and if you don't do that they tell you that's exactly why you're failing. The script is a bunch of nonsense designed to trick people into thinking they know what you're talking about, but 99% of the time they don't. If I didn't have a conscious I would still be slinging out terrible policies to people who can't afford them. All they care about is money. They have no regard for how the client feels. If you have a family don't work here. You'll lose them. Oh and on top of that it's pretty much a ponzi scheme. There's a reason you haven't heard of AIL. It's not a facet in the insurance industry that no one has ever heard about. It's a facade, designed to trick not only the clients, but the salesmen as well. If for some reason you still decide to work for them, when you start hearing "smell that ALP" it's time to leave.

Pros

Really nice people to be around, valuable learning experiences, chance to make good money if everything is operating the way it should and you put the work in.

Cons

Your told that you are your own boss and you make your own schedule but they are constantly telling you what to do like a typical employer and employee relationship. You have to go to the office 3 days a week and call for 8 hours in front of them and train after you already been licensed and released and your not paid for it. I could understand maybe a meeting once a week but if your required to be there 3 days a week then that’s like having a part time job and not being paid for it. You can call from home and have the same result without having someone listen and criticize every phone call. My leads were three years old and sometimes they just didn’t give me any like they are supposed to. The leads are horrible except some Union leads. Instead of focusing on selling life insurance your trying to bait people into meeting you with child safe kits and will kits. You go to drop them off and try to sell them insurance. It’s a bait and switch. They kept wanting me to secretly record my presentations without the homeowners knowledge and I felt very uncomfortable doing that considering they are giving me their personal information and trusting me. It’s not against the law here and I understand they wanted to see where I needed help but there are more ethical ways to do that. You literally feel owned and controlled by them. They were very mis leading in the interview process and said I would make 1000 a week on average in the first year. But if my leads weren’t 3 years old and they gave them to me like they are supposed to then it could be possible to make good money. If people look up company reviews they are horrible and it makes it harder to sell insurance.
