Good Balance

Pros

Depending on what department you work in the work life balance is good.. It is very relaxed and come as you go but again it depends on who you work for. I think the benefits and matching is good, it could always be more but I believe AI provides a good balance with benefits and health care. This probably also depends if you are single or not.. Great company events Great HR staff Some of the most friendliest people to work with

Cons

If the ceo and higher management would go away company would probably get better. A lot of words but no action.. Saying and doing or two completely different things.. The circle of safety revolves around the higher ups. They need to extend that circle of safety out to the most junior member of the organization and not be afraid to take some chances on things.. Really tired of hearing about EBITDA and making money here, loosing there, if this happens, money, money, money.. Poor focus.

Pros

Great small but growing company to work for. Due to the size your voice is heard and considered. You can just as easily walk to the CEO's office and chat with him as your colleagues. Work/life balance is good as the management cares and wants you to be happy. Decent opportunities for training.

Cons

Paths to advancement weren't always clear. The growth made for regular organizational changes. Problems in past product cycles would sometimes stifle advancement.

Pros

-A lot of the employee events are fun and very relaxed. -There is a great potential for travel, which is very nice -It has some of the nicest employees I have ever worked with

Cons

-Office environment is just depressing, very manufacturing-like. -They always play up their focus on culture, but there is not much actual follow through on it. It's just hype at this point that I don't believe the execs really believe in. -They are WAY too cautious, enough to stifle innovation. They shouldn't be afraid to pull the trigger on a lot of projects that just sit in limbo, wasting time and money. -Employer 401k matching is incredibly small. -Not much room for growth in the company. -Very conservative atmosphere, which is good if you like that sort of thing. Has an older work force and it shows; for Austin it is a very conservative company. -Benefits are not that great and hardly any focus on wellness, just shaming employees to be healthier and not spend so much
