Pros

The AMA is a great place to work. Friendly people, challenging work and centrally located in downtown chicago. We'll see the pull this org has after June 2012.

Cons

The AMA is losing its appeal among clinical providers - membership is declining each year. The current leadership may change the focus of the association, but in the past few years it appeared the association was not advocating for a large percentage of physicians.
