Pros

Looked forward to my "Nights" part-time shifts with the Assisted Living residents. Was told that perfect attendance & no lateness for 3 months would reap a $1,000 bonus.

Cons

Not only was the bonus a lie; but I was treated as if I was the on-call nurse for everybody on ANY shift. Plus the residnt, God love them, were Not Assisted Liing Candidates & needed nursing care far beyond the definition off "Assisted Living". I had patients on morphine, hospice, etc., & it was really sad & overwhelming.

Decent pay and plenty of shifts available to pick up

Cons

Very high stress!! Management is rude and continuously lies. They will overwork you if it means they don't have to come in. Understaffed constantly, which makes quality patient care impossible for staff who are running around like crazy without help. Patient to nurse ratio is too high. Nurses spent most of a shift passing pills. No time for quality interaction with residents.

They hire anyone, so it's kind of a pro and a con.

Cons

Poor upper management. There is such a high turnover rate at the facility i worked it it was ridiculous. Some employees stayed for only one shift because the facility is ran so poorly. They do not care for the residents AT ALL.
