Pros

Taking care of the residents - most of them appreciate everything you can do for them. Plenty of extra hours if you want them. That's about it.

Cons

Poor wages for the amount of work; DON & ADON that don't have a clue about what or how much CNA's do - as they always want more and apparently think you are standing around with extra time on your hands which is next to impossible because ASC keeps the amount of employees on-the-clock at the MINIMUM. Attendance points are counted against employees even if the employee has a doctors diagnosis and written excuse. That is company policy and there are NO EXCEPTIONS - once the points start adding up - they can fire you! You work around sick people and you are not supposed to get sick. There is no sick leave, so unless you can make up hours lost, your check will be short.

Pros

None Zero Zilch Nada. Seriously there are no pros to working here.

Cons

They force staff in all departments to work short creating unsafe and hostile work environments management takes no responsibility to assist the hourly employees when over worked understaffed and under high stress. They have started to cross train all employees as CN's so they can look to be properly staffed for the state when they are not. Actual staffing levels are often 16 to 1 or higher for CNAs and 32 to 1 for Nurses. This makes it so residents never recieve the attention and care they deserve. DO NOT EVER LT A FAMILLY MEMBER LIVE IN ONE OF THESE COMMUNITIES!!!!
