Good - but not perfect

Pros

The people truly make the job. My team was full of intelligent, hard working, fun people who I became close friends with. Benefits were good. Generous bonus. Good insurance. Lots of other small benefits here and there, such as health and wellness reimbursement, backup childcare subsidy, etc. 3 weeks PTO plus 2 floating holidays 3 months paid maternity leave, paternity leave is offered as well. The job itself is logical, and once you get your feet planted you feel yourself growing.

Cons

Mandatory office attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Not a lot of opportunities to get to the next level. In the 3 years I was there, I saw 1 person be promoted from senior to manager. There are several seniors who are ready or almost ready for the leap, but not a need for more managers. So it’s kind of halting our career progression. Further, without a promotion, the annual salary increase is not matching the market rate for new hires. This causes turnover, which makes the job harder for those who stay. The generous bonus does offset this some, but I gained no buying power with my annual increases (and honestly lost some since inflation is so high)

Pros

Five word minimum right here.

Cons

Beware of clearly fake glowing reviews. Company only cares about money. They create unrealistic goals and grind you down. You have to work as fast as you can constantly. Most of the work is automated so you're mindlessly performing routine tasks. Pay is lower than most in the industry with promise of year end goals. They do this to not have to pay what you deserve and when you quit, you're out the difference since the last year's end. They don't care about quality work. Just crank it out for daddy. And if you miss your weekly goal they'll make you feel worthless, like you're underperforming. I just have a hard time not doing quality work and producing just to hit numbers. STAY AWAY!

Pros

Great people making up strong teams. People love to work together here to get it done and all are appreciated for their efforts. Great work/life balance and unbelievably great benefits.

Cons

Hostile workplace from senior executive level that has spawned an exodus of truly great people. Under Jim Taiclet, American Tower was the best employer in wireless with many spending decades here. When he left, Tom Bartlett stepped into that roll and the workplace has become toxic. I've never seen nor heard discrimination of any type here but now we are bombarded with social agenda. There is a constant harassment of employees with the pushing of LGBTQ agenda. We are expected to participate in forums pushing LGBTQ as well as race-based favoritism. If you are a white male, particularly if you are Christian, the message has been you are sub-human. I've never heard anyone even slander another here, much less discriminate because of a personal choice. All people care about is can you do your job.
