Pros

Growing company with diverse range of clients. This makes it easy to keep learning as you will work on many different websites/website platforms, learn about many different industries, etc. Americaneagle is investing more in employee training and improving overall onboarding processes for new employees which is great. Coworkers are friendly, knowledgeable and are easy to work with. Managers are very open to new ideas, suggestions for improving processes and for improving client deliverables. Management encourages exploring new technologies, trying new tools, and is good at staying up to date on trends in the industry.

Cons

Company ownership frowns on remote and hybrid work. They recently instituted 5 days in office policy and main reason provided was for collaboration/direct communication. However, a lot of the people I work with are in other offices, states or countries so forcing people into the offices really doesn’t change communications as most is via teams, email, etc. Additionally, even when we are in the same office at the same time we use teams anyway as it’s more efficient for presentations, going over work, etc. rather than trying to book and set up a conference room to just look at a tv screen together. Many clients are not local as well so we have to use teams for them to join the meetings. Americaneagle has strict time card rules which makes it tough to talk to anyone you don’t share clients with. We basically have to make up for the time talking to people as any time at work that is not billable is frowned upon. Due to this, co-workers mostly just talk to those they work on clients with outside some quick hellos, how are you, etc. Also, to keep billable hours up many eat alone at their desks or in their offices so even with more people in the office, everything feels very siloed.
