lied to from beginning of employment right up to the end . if your not a lair and a cheat you wont want to work here.

I'm deeply concerned and disturbed with the comments in your review. Because of the seriousness of your allegations, please reach out to me directly at: apunjani@ameritfleet.com. It is critical I investigate your claims, as dishonesty of this kind is not tolerated. There is no way Amerit would endorse an action where we would put an unsafe vehicle back on the road. We also pay hourly and not on commission. While we want our employees to be productive, we want our employees to do a quality repair first, no matter how longer it takes. Finally, unless proved otherwise, we are proud of each and everyone of our employees who work hard everyday to put safe vehicles on the road.

GARAGE SUPPORT (Former Employee), HOUSTON TEXAS – March 3, 2016 Pros: AMBITIOUS Cons: UNFAIRNESS I worked at AMERITFLEET SOLUTIONS over two years. I came there after retiring from truck driving for 20yrs. I sold my truck and wanted a life off of the road.Well boy was I in for a eye opener. In the Houston location. In that time I had 5 managers. Most quit. One of them was fired! When I initially accepted the position it came with a condition that we prepare the Garages which are only three. And they did not want to use the 3rd one.??? I were among those first hired. And right from the start my passion was evident. We painted and affixed decals and signs .We waited with pride for our grand opening. We thought this was a place we could grow with. But Shortly after we opened our manager quit. And from there- it was just a disaster. We were visited by the chief operations officer. The culture there is so filled with unprofessionalism &lazy employees. It is so bad that the chief operations came and held a meeting and passed out one hundred dollar bills to mechanics who fixed the vehicles properly.Most of the time I did all of the work in the garage. While others just pretended to work or flat out did nothing. Even HR eventually did come after 2yrs because there I had been too many complaints. I were threatened by a coworker. And it took a lot to get them to do something about it. The manager at that time flatly said to me" he did not care". Everyone that I began that job with did quit. and I regret not following there lead. I voluntarily adjusted my schedule to come into work at 6:00am for awhile. 2 hours before we opened to help the operation . Worked overtime whenever asked and I were asked immediately after I returned from my honeymoon! Ameritfleet say's in their literature :AFS EXECUTIVE TEAM DETERMINES THE AREAS IN WHICH LAYOFFS OCCUR.WITHIN A LAYOFF UNIT,THE ORDER IN WHICH EMPLOYEES ARE LAID OFF IS GOVERENED BY APPLICABLE BUISNESS NEEDS,RANK,LENGHT OF SERVICE,AND OTHER FACTORS I WERE AMONG THE FIRST HIRED AND AMONG THE FIRST THROWN OUT OF THE DOOR . And I can tell you right now THE EXECUTIVE TEAM don't even know about my OTHER FACTORS

Pros

Average pay, poor benefits, No job security. Very high turnover in management.

Cons

After almost 7 years of with the company they had to combine territories to save money. My territory was combined with another manager's. Even though I had had 7 years of good job performance with very good reviews by my supervisors and the other manager had only been there 90 days due to the fact they were paying him less he got to keep his job and I lost mine. Job performance, seniority and not even there widely state preference for hiring veterans made any difference. If they can replace you with someone who will work for less you are gone.
