Poor leadership and highly political. Your hard work means nothing unless you are close to the bosses. No work life balance; get ready to work late and weekends. 50% workforce were eliminated during pandemic shows the bad management.

Since my time here at Amherst, I’ve been targeted by my manager. Her lack of care for her employees is a direct cause for the low morale in the department. For example, when she sat next to the GM, she acknowledged everyone but me. In addition, she consistently highlights only negative performance and refused to give me the proper training to assist me in my job especially when I first started. She does not have an open door policy and I fear retaliation when I speak up. Her behavior fosters a hostile work environment and adds unnecessary stress to my day. I suggest middle level managers and up retake emotional intelligence training to ensure the proper procedures when dealing with new employees and integrating them into the team. I love working for the company, but when managers like her are promoted within the workforce, I lose trust in the company’s capability to judge good characters.
