      Pros

      Great training and great surpevisors. A lot of support within the company. The work is challenging so the support is needed. Working from home was nice. Generous and comprehensive relocation packages.

      Cons

      Work load was extremely heavy for some employees depending on which region of the country they lived in and covered. Relocation was one of the main ways one could move up within the country. Advancement could be a challenge is you were unable to relocate because of a spouse or other reasons.

We’ve been working to address the concerns you expressed regarding workload, as some employees have expressed similar concerns. We are currently reviewing staffing needs and adding staff where necessary. We are also putting specialized teams in place and utilizing our technology to possibly help balance and alleviate some of the workload. We realize that relocation is not a good option for everyone but believe in our promote-from-within philosophy and encouraging Account Managers and Adjusters to experience different branches. This ensures that our future leaders are developing multiple skills and are equipped to be effective leaders, and has helped make us unique and successful in the marketplace. Thank you.

      This used to be a good company to work for.

      Cons

      Been with Amica many years. I was proud to say I worked there. It was about service to our customers. Now it is about numbers. Training is decent but the systems are deplorable and they are all new. Absolutely un achievable expectations! Now we are expected to work many weekends also. Us old timers did not sign up for this. Managers are useless. Too busy on cell phones to take any calls but will come find you if you need a minute to regroup due to the stress.

Additional weekends are a short-term solution that enable us to maintain superior service in the midst of increasing phone volume. Regarding the systems that we currently employ – we are always working to improve the efficiency of our technology and the workflows that come with those systems.       - Healthcare benefits - 401K Matching - Profit Sharing Bonuses

      Cons

      - Too slim of staff in many areas, overworked promoting a burn out syndrome - Unqualified leaders in upper/executive management, our size no longer supports promote from within only type business. - Rotating executive positions - Yearly raises are barely offsetting rates of inflation
