Pros
Pay and benefits - I heard several long time employees calling them the golden handcuffs that kept them at the company. It pays really well for the area.
Cons
Not a progressive company. An undercurrent of anti-LGBT sentiment from management, and is very white and Christian, despite self-promotion of diversity. They point to token Asians, and African Americans in leadership, but the majority of rank and file - by far more than any other company I have been at - is lily white. And conservative. It's a private company, and the owner has a history of reading from the bible at Christmas. It leads to a group-think, almost cult like, mentality. I have been extremely successful at several Fortune 500 companies, and found the pace and ability to offer ideas maddening at Amway.
