How bad HR leadership played havoc with a great culture

Amway was a great company to work for until 2018 with excellent culture, highly talented people, a family environment, very little politics and a great place to build your career.
Cons
A new CHRO took over in late 2018 with neither the broad experience needed for the role nor the temparament for leading HR at a time when Amway was going through such a huge transition. She replaced almost all HR leaders with incapable people in leadership positions majority of whom also neither had any major HR experience nor any empathy towards employees. Their only qualification was that they were friends of her. Anyone who was not, was let go. So while HR came up with nice slogans like "Leading from heart etc", in reality it was a sham. No one benefitted the way her friends benefitted, getting promotions one after another. HR support today is minimal and politics is rampant. No wonder subsequent employee surveys have consistently highlighted the degradation of the great culture under this leadership. Do your homework before you decide to join the company now.
