      Great Culture and Product, Market Fit and Sales Leadership Not So Much

      Truly awesome culture. Great benefits. Strong ESPP.

      Cons

      For sales the nebulous 'connected planning' value proposition is difficult to articulate and much cheaper competitors are closing the technical gap quickly. The real challenge is sales leadership. From CRO to AVP to RVP it has been a revolving door. Each new executive brings their own GTM strategy and when they get turned over 12 or 18 months later it's back to the drawing board. Can be very frustrating. Also the vast majority of AE's not attached to premier geographies are not making any commissions.

      Pros

      The People, The Product, The Customers are all top notch. The culture is spot on: collaborative and hard working. Passionate about customer success. People genuinely love working there and working together. Every time Anaplan was faced with the choice of making more money or doing the right thing for the customer or employee they did the right thing. They celebrate victories too. The market opportunity is massive. So many different entry points to start a relationship with the customers. Good growth once you land too because the value is obvious to the customers.

      Cons

      Building a territory takes time and commitment, but once the fire is going you make money. Anaplan is focused in customer success and creating a positive culture.

      Pros

      - Most people were really nice, authentic, talented and engaged. - Decent benefits, great location in San Francisco, free breakfast once a week. - Product has potential - Opportunities to work on interesting projects.

      Cons

      - Didn't have great a 401K matching at that time. - A few individuals were toxic, super political - Change is constant and the communications needs to keep up to the pace. - No clear path to career growth
