      Blackstone just wants money

      Pros

      If you believe in the wonderful purpose of family history there's probably not a better place to be. Still sticking to their guns with flexible work, even if certain old school senior leaders are fighting it.

      Cons

      Blackstone. We are a reliable source of small but consistent golden eggs and Blackstone is squeezing all they can out of us it feels. Seems like fresh ideas from the top are few and far between.

      I'm confident in the mission of Ancestry and the impact it has on people's lives, but I don't have confidence in the leadership team to get Ancestry where it needs to be.

      Cons

      Leadership isn't trustworthy and I don't value their management style.

      The nicest people work here. Work-life balance is pretty good.

      Cons

      New senior management is collectively inexperienced for what they are trying to do. Lots of run around and research for new pet projects that don't get prioritized. Extremely silo'd.
