Pros

Nice hours, good pay, commissions are easy, generally flexible with hours

Cons

Micromanaging constantly, little opportunity to move up, in general talking to old people on the phones is not ideal, constant calls, very understaffed, not interesting work at all

Pros

Ancestry.com really tries to make good products for its customers and make the best environment possible for a call center. Best benefits I have ever seen for a call center and lower paid jobs. One of the best paid tech support positions I have seen. Best management I have ever seen in a call center.

Cons

Difficult customers. If you think about it, who are going to be the majority of people doing genealogy? Older people are the main customers for Ancestry.com. And most of them know little to nothing about computers. If you are thinking about working at Ancestry.com in tech support, remember that you will be talking to the average difficult customers you dreaded to speak to at your old job all of the time here.
