Pros

Good values, heavily involved in the community, excellent benefits for employees. Generations of families have worked there and they take great pride in their work.

Cons

Not the most dynamic environment. Things tend to move slowly and can get frustrating for you if you have innovative ideas. People tend to get entrenched in positions and build empires. Some senior managers are in positions they aren't qualified for because they were part of an acquisition.

Pros

long company history, profit sharing when the economy is good, opportunities, nice people, flexibility with schedules

Cons

lots of change constantly, furlough days when business is slow, a company that changes often depending on who's in leadership, they have a hard time firing people for some reason....there are plenty of people that work there that are milking it and buying time until retirement.
