Pros

The only pro to this position is that you have the freedom to work from your own home and don't have to sit at a desk everyday.

Cons

There are many cons ... Inconsistency is one of them. They rush thru in-store training or are constantly on the phone talking to other people while training you so they don't really go thru everything you need to know. They tell you to do one thing one day and the next day - they change it to something else. They are constantly putting more and more expectations on you and not giving any more pay or any more consideration in hours. They don't want you working overtime but all they are is numbers motivated. If they ask you to get 60 stores done in a month - the next month they will ask you for 65. District managers have severe attitude problems and they are soo unorganized and swamped that they don't get to your emails in a timely fashion or they'll ignore your calls because they are too busy. This HAS to come from the top down .... Expense reports take forever to get approved. They could care less if you have $30 outstanding or $300.00. Mileage reimbursement is HORRID especially with gas prices the way they are. You will put a crap load of miles on your car and they won't pay for expenses incurred from repairs for putting all of those miles on. Your back will hurt, you will be a cleaner because you'll need to purchase cleaning supplies and dust off all of the shelves. They make their annual meeting mandatory but you don't learn crap from it. They fly you in - do an afternoon session and dinner, then sit all day in a meeting the next day and fly back home. They'll give you a reward with a free shirt and at Christmas - you even get a free phone charger for the car that doesn't work. WOW! They also treat their regular core team merchandisers like crap.
