Pros

Good pay if you have a good territory in Ad Sales....

Cons

Sucks if you have a crappy territory (which I do) and the pay sucks...company has you sign a contract to "pay back" any draw not earned yet after six months of being here, they decided to "lower" our base rate from 40K to 24K...what kind of company does that? SCANDALOUS!!!

Pros

- OK pay and benefits - Flexibility and remote work - Many talented and dedicated ICs, along with a few excellent directors and C-suite leaders

Cons

- Constant changes in product direction with little stability, including misguided attempts to mirror the European market - Career growth is very limited and compensation is below market levels in many department; your career here will plateau quickly for you if you're in the product or design or engineering orgs - The product is also very stagnant for all sides of the marketplace experience currently: homeowners and pros - Significant inefficiencies and waste in how work is prioritized and delivered - Upper-level design and product leadership includes individuals whose strong egos, brash personalities and poor decision-making create dysfunction and low trust - Some frontline managers create very toxic, micromanaged environments that drain morale - Strategic vision lacks coherence and taste when it comes to the actual product experience - Overall design and product culture has deteriorated significantly in recent years - Bureaucratic interference from upper layers slows teams and stifles innovation - Risk aversion from leadership prevents teams from shipping and learning quickly - High technical debt from multiple acquisitions with little focus on unifying or improving experience quality - Morale is low across many product, design, and engineering teams—especially after recent layoffs - Very few career growth paths; many talented folks have already left or are planning to

Thank you for leaving a review, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed the remote work environment and the wonderful employees and leaders that we have hired to make up what our culture is today. We are however very disappointed to hear that your overall time with us was not enjoyable and are sorry to hear that you did not receive the support you needed in order to grow with the company. We care about our employees and their development, which is why we offer an internal job portal via our HRIS system for those interested in both lateral and horizontal growth. We are also currently investing in training and growth opportunities for our employees. By enhancing our training programs and offering clear paths for career development, we can empower our team members to build new skills, increase productivity, and feel valued in their roles. We take your concerns about leadership and product inefficiencies very seriously and will ensure this feedback is shared with the relevant parties. We would greatly appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your experiences regarding leadership and frontline managers and their practices, as we uphold very high standards for how our employees should be treated. We strongly encourage you to reach out to our HR department at hr@angi.com so we can better understand your experience and address any issues. Thank you again for your feedback and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

My manager is great. We have good culture within our team. I like my department. The training team was fantastic.

Cons

Since the RIF in December, upper management has determined that sales reps were getting paid too much for sales and commission. They have actively started controlling this by creating higher and higher targets. If a team does well, upper management will then make the goal higher so reps cannot make over $100,000. Also, anything that was fun and built culture within the sales floor was taken away. Current director doesn't even do shout outs for people who are doing well on sales or work anniversaries. It comes across as we don't like you and we don't care.

Thank you for leaving a review, we are so glad to hear that you have a great manager and the culture within your team is what you have hoped. We are also so thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our wonderful trainers and the programs we have to set our employees up for success! We understand that changes to goals and compensation can feel discouraging, especially following all the changes that have occurred this year. That said, we want to clarify that our intention is not to limit rep earnings, but to align targets with evolving business objectives and market conditions. Our compensation structure is still built to reward high performance, and many of our top performers continue to exceed high earnings. We also hear your concerns around culture and recognition. While some of the previous programs have changed, we’re actively working to rebuild moments of connection and celebration in ways that are meaningful and inclusive. We thank you again for your and your continuous contributions to Angi!
