Pros

-Base salary plus commission -Good benefits -Hour lunch -Easy metrics to reach

Cons

During the first 2 weeks of training, it’s great. The trainers are helpful and supportive. Once you get to your team, it’s stressful, and the environment is awful. The managers have a frat type vibe (and not in the fun way). They’ll play your failed calls in a region-wide zoom call. They’ll publicly humiliate newbies. You’re in a zoom call all day, getting shuffled around and watched constantly. You cannot mute yourself so everyone hears whatever is going on. I log all my calls in a spreadsheet; I get 150 no answers a day. It’s tough, but as long as you can do phone sales, you’ll meet metrics. The product is impossible to sell. It’s selling a dream to grown adults who know better. It’s decent enough. I don’t mind calling a million contractors. I like that there is a base salary. It’s enough to keep me doing fine. Just know what you’re getting into

Thank you for your review and feedback. We pride ourselves on offering competitive benefits and salary and believe these two factors, among other things, contribute to a satisfying work environment and culture. We're happy to hear you recognize this as a positive aspect of working at Angi. We don't tolerate any type of bullying or public humiliation in any form, however. If you feel like you're being mistreated in the workplace, please reach out to your manager or to our SVP of HR directly to file a complaint. We take matters around harrassment very seriously and will address your concerns directly.

Pros

Work from home is enh

Cons

They changed the commission structure so half the accounts that you sell you don’t even get commission on also you’re essentially paid to be a professional harasser because I got several emails threatening harassment I showed them to my manager he said to ignore them

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our current commission structure is uncapped, our potential commissions per sale have increased on our new compensation plan, and we have added a revenue share piece to the compensation model to ensure our Sales Representatives are rewarded for quality sales. Our commission plan is provided to employees immediately in training and we educate our teammates so they have a clear understanding of the expectations needed to meet their goals. We encourage individuals to speak to their managers if they need clarification on commission or methods of handling prospects that are not currently interested in our services. - Tom Cheatham, SVP Sales Strategy

Pros

The only real pro is the training managers I worked with. They were kind, understanding, and very communicative.

Cons

So first off, HR is basically non existent. You have to go through your direct manager, so if you don't like your management there is quite literally nothing you can do. There is no phone number to speak to HR, and no way to put in a report to HR anonymously. You need to email them which they may or may not read. On the exit survey, it explicitly states that they'll only read "brief messages" in their feedback and might or might not respond to it. They didn't. You're told from day one you will have training zoom meetings, and after that's finished you won't have to be in daily meetings with your camera on. Absolutely untrue. Every single morning, every single afternoon, you have at least one meeting. You need to have your camera on, or you can be reported for attendance. Your shortcomings are announced to the entire company, where they share how many sales everyone is getting or lack thereof. I saw multiple people swearing in zoom calls in front of children, where I noticed people were uncomfortable with the amount of swearing. Nothing was done to prevent that as well. The training managers were really good, they work with you and build your confidence, and basically everyone I went in with finished training. After a meager month or so however, everyone in the training group I was in quit. The managers after training don't respond to you. if you have an emergency, it's likely they won't respond for several hours or even a matter of days after trying to connect with them over it. There is no work/life balance. You can't reach your manager to take time off for things, and you can't get less than 3 hours of talk time. It does not matter if you were in meetings for most of your day, it doesn't matter if you only get voicemails for a day, you need three hours. If you don't, they will fire you which is absurd.
