Pros

WFH, Monday-Friday at 40hrs a week with absolutely no weekends, two 15 minute paid breaks with an hour unpaid lunch, trainers are great too.

Cons

The leads you call every day have been recycled a 100 times or more, so you’re calling people that have heard our pitch a million times, and most of them just hang up right away once you say you’re from Angi. I’ve held two other sales jobs, one being door to door, and this is by far the worst I’ve tried. I wanted to try out a remote job but the outlook for this gig doesn’t look great. One day, my team dialed 4500 numbers and we had had 45 pitches total (5 minutes on the call or more equals a pitch) with translates to 0.010% pitch rate, with zero sales. It’s laughably bad. The company seems fine, just don’t do this job.

Thanks for your candid review. We're sorry to hear that your experience isn't what you're looking for - we take pride in the level of training we provide to Sales reps and ensure that lead distribution is fair and equitable. Our base pay is competitive with significant upside for those who successfully close sales. If you have suggestions about how to improve and/or shorten the script, please reach out to your manager or someone from the leadership team directly. We're always open to suggestions and feedback and want to see our Sales reps succeed in their efforts.

No org strategy or autonomy

Pros

- People are super smart and good to work with - Great culture amongst peers

Cons

- There is no overarching vision or strategy for Angi. The company has no idea where they will be in a year or 2. The whole company is rallying around revenue and profitability. This can get muddy especially having to make product decisions that are not customer first. - There is a lack of autonomy. All decisions need to be run up the corporate ladder which moves things slower and is a bottleneck in the process. - Any button you click on within the Angi site leads down the Service Request questionnaire which is essentially the company's money making machine. This is a poor user experience and is not sustainable in the long run. Overall not a great place to work if you are looking to grow in your product management career.

Thanks for your candid feedback about employment at Angi. We agree that our team is "super smart" which aligns with one of our core values: #All About Talent. Employing passionate, innovative and bright people leads to a strong culture and organizational success - we see and live this every day. Our mission at Angi is to be the home for everything home. We do this by executing against consumer membership, scaling fixed price home services, and improving our industry-leading marketplace. We prioritize homeowners and service professionals to ensure we're delivering an exceptional experience to our end users. One of our core values is #Start With The Customer which gives latitude and agency to our Product and Engineering teams to take risks, swing big, and learn quickly. Our org-wide Fireside meetings provide an opportunity to share overarching business strategies, product innovations and team wins - this time is meant to create transparency around Angi's growth trajectory. As a business, we're always mindful of revenue and profitability targets and we drive toward them with vigor and passion. We make tough decisions each day to ensure long term success and our Product team leads the charge in this effort. We place considerable importance on professional growth and development at Angi and offer year-round trainings to all employees. If you feel like you're not receiving opportunities for growth, please reach out to your manager or our HR department. Again, thanks for your feedback - we appreciate candid insight from our team.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review. We are lucky to have a great mission, which guides us to help homeowners love their home and help pros grow strong businesses, and great people to help bring our mission to life. However, we are disappointed to see your thoughts on our management. We strive to create an inclusive, transparent workplace where decisions are communicated with respect in mind. Based on recruiting demand over the last few months and where we expect that demand will be over the remainder of the year, we had to make the difficult decision to eliminate some roles within our talent acquisition team. While we are not the only company making these decisions right now, that does not make it any easier. We are always looking for feedback on how we could handle these transitions and decisions better and the TA leadership team welcomes your feedback. -Jess Haber, VP Talent Acquisition
