Pros

The pay-scale, benefits, vacation/sick time.

Cons

Lack of initiative, no room for growth, poor corporate policies, ever changing standards, inflexibility of schedules, lack of communication within the company. There used to be extreme room for advancement, income, flexibility, excellent benefits and leadership and since new corporate/company policies have been in place there is no employee moral, it is not enjoyable, there is no incentive, and people are trapped into a dissatisfying job because they cannot afford to lose their salary. In addition to that income discrepancy is absolutely absurd, there are people doing the same job as me (enrolling even less, performing worse) and they are more than doubling my salary because they were there hired at the right time and made the necessary moves to do so. There is no incentive to work when someone is making more than double, almost triple your salary, and performing worse, and you will never be able to reach that salary regardless of your work performance because of the "changes" that have taken place.

Pros

If you're on one of the teams that does nothing, you get to sit around working on other stuff all day. Benefits are about average. Pay is average.

Cons

Certain teams are horrendously overworked while others sit on their thumbs doing nothing. Horrible senior management. Middle managers that aren't much better. Individual contributors who are decent get bogged down in constant politics of politically correct vs. right thing to do. Middle managers are basically slaves to their bosses and independent thought is punished. If you have the ear of the one of the senior people, no matter how dumb your idea is, it's going to get implemented. And if you don't, regardless of how good it is, it won't. Zero advancement ability once you've gone beyond individual contributor level. Unbelievably stupid stack-ranking system for employees invented by Ratbert that keeps all the mediocre individual contributors employed.
