Pros

Now is the perfect time to join Apollo. While earlier years involved some instability as the company worked to establish product–market fit and refine its direction, that foundation has recently solidified. The proof is Apollo’s impressive growth over the past three years, culminating in unicorn status. This exponential growth creates meaningful opportunities for career development and expansion, and it’s exciting to be part of a company that is becoming well known and respected in the GTM space.

Cons

With the company’s growth and fully remote setup, it’s become more difficult to build relationships and collaborate with people outside your team, as most communication happens over Slack.

Pros

I decided to draft a review b/c I can't make sense of some of the more recent posts that appeared over the last three months here on Glassdoor. I joined the team in August. I've worked across several unique industries & I can genuinely say I enjoy my job for the first time in probably 5-6 years. A critical piece of that is: I've been able to achieve a lot in a relatively short time, and not in an unsustainable capacity. Those reviews you're seeing on Glassdoor about instability or strongly worded opinions on leadership changes? The company needed a jolt of energy – it's natural for a correction to occur within any organization scaling at the rate Apollo is. Does that mean it's toxic? Not at all. Been here for more than a quarter now, basically touching as many teams as possible. We have some of the smartest people working in the same room, all aiming for top tier output. Putting my money where my mouth is here – I've successfully referred four candidates to the team; and, more to come.

Cons

I do know that the changes made organizationally are forcing some who were *too* comfortable in reframing how Apollo operates. That means being open to testing new strategies, approaches, and moving with (some) speed or confidence. It's not a con; but, it could be a detractor for anyone in search of a job versus a career (which, isn't a bad thing, but worth thinking about). If you aren't customer-focused, this isn't the org for you.
