Pros

-- Apollo is focused on hiring talent which fits company values, and it shows. Much of the team is incredibly smart and kind while speaking with candor (which I greatly appreciate). I find the people at Apollo to be great to work with, and I was nervous about this because some of the reviews on here seemed negative on this topic. -- Product-market fit is great, although the product itself is very complex. There is much effort currently to balance that complexity with simple and delightful UX. Leadership seems to greatly value design and research in this regard. -- Apollo is in the process of growing brand recognition while focusing on community. There seems to be hype from users and potential users about Apollo, and it's exciting to see this magic happen with the support of leadership putting customers and their trust first. -- This has been the best remote team I've ever worked with, and I've worked with quite a few. Time differences can cause scheduling conflicts at times, but the cross-functional collaboration has still run quite smoothly in that face of that. -- Managers seem to care deeply about IC growth and creating opportunities for this growth. -- Compensation and benefits are great.

Cons

-- There are many changes that Apollo has gone through recently. Sometimes it can feel very, very fast paced. This is on par with many growth-stage startups I've worked with. -- Because of this fast pace and many recent hires, the team is still learning each other's working styles and making suggestions for process improvements. This could be seen as a con or an opportunity to influence processes. -- There is room for improving async communication because sometimes it can be difficult in remote environments to gather stakeholder feedback.

Pros

Feels like we're the cool underdogs right now. Customers love us and we're throwing new sales automations and features at them every quarter, but the LinkedIn ban has hit our reputation and branding in a major way. I love my manager and immediate team. There's a lot of exciting growth despite market and legal pressures going on around us. Remote work is awesome and they don't have any plans to force us all back to an office. Benefits are pretty good but could be better, they have added additional perks since I joined but we're all hoping they give us a 401k match % next year.

Cons

I'll backup what others have said: Product org is on the struggle bus and the new CRO hire was a MAJOR miss. >Product strategy/direction is all over the place, and some really cool launches don't get the budget for the hype they deserve. >CRO wastes everyones time micromanaging and disrupting projects. He lacks even rudimentary forecasting skills, then blames everyone else when his goals are missed.
