Pros

Located in University Park, IL traffic isn't really a problem Relaxed atmosphere Many people have been there for 10, 15, 20 years Jim Kellner is the type of leader you like to get behind

Cons

Tough to get anywhere within the company unless you come from outside, work alongside upper management, or are related to someone else in the company Pay increases are rare Infighting and confusion between departments

Pros

The people that stick around here are mostly good people. I call some of my favorites actual friends. They enjoy coding by their quiet selves or enjoy helping people over the phone. Management can be nice, depending on what team you land in when you start or get moved around. The office is large and nice, and has an atrium they use to offer a few perks.

Cons

Upper management is turning into a clown car of corporate drones. They can't help it; it's their natural way. But they are starting to get top-heavy, and really only care about growing. Our regular meetings are filled with charts showing how much money they are making and what companies we are buying out, but that doesn't mean it will end up in our pockets. Instead, they just spend it on more executives and on their precious corporate image. We have a lot of offices now, but wages are barely fair. They almost are equal in each office, but living costs in those respective areas are greatly different. This should be a factor when deciding wages. That's a simple fact that's over-looked from what I've heard from employees in the remote/smaller offices.

Pros

People are friendly. The work itself challenges you and looks good on a resume. There is always someone there to ask questions to.

Cons

Pay is on the lower end of the salary expectations for developers. Developers are on lock down in the lower level (no windows and often smells). Just another body filling the chair.
