      Great place for people who just want a 9-5 with minimal pay or are looking for a stepping stone

      Pros

      Almost impossible to get fired. Minimal expectations. Easy to move up since there's significant turnover.

      Cons

      Bad pay. Minimal raises (if any) even for good performance reviews. Incompetent and oblivious management. Not a place to improve your skills. Code base has no standards. Only requirement is "does it work?". This is the ultimate growth company, in that nothing matters but growth (increased revenue). I've seen way too many decisions made by management that were bad for the product/client but were approved because they meant a little bit more money.

      Pros

      You can get your foot in the door at an entry level company. After a short time, it looks good on your resume. Time off and benefits are decent. They are constantly remodeling (new bathrooms, new coffee stations, new paint, new chairs).

      Cons

      Salary is entry level. Very low. No room to advance. So many managers that there are no policies in place because they all decide to do what they want. Heard colleagues call it "Appliedified" because it's how "Applied does it".
