Pros

I've been with Applied for 10+ years and it's a good place to work. Applied has a lot of great people, strong leadership, and a relaxed environment. Compensation is about on par with what you'd expect in this industry. Benefits are good, but slightly expensive. Opportunities for advancement or change in roles are there for those who work hard. Overall, my experience has been very positive.

Cons

The 401k matching policy of 25% and capped at 12% of salary is low and doesn't encourage staying with the company until retirement.

Pros

Easy commute. Onsite cafeteria. Free bagels every week and semi-regular employee appreciation days.

Cons

Pay is ridiculously low and annual increases are 2%, at best. It's unreal that they would overwork employees and not give an appropriate merit increase, but send Sales on an all expenses paid trip to Mexico, and other tropical places, each year just for meeting their goal - aka doing their job.

Flexibility if you're in higher management - work schedule, can be remote. Pay is good.

Cons

Very old school mentality. Innovation does not reside within these walls. Sloooow paced with lots of red tape to get things done.
