Pros

They really know how to give you false hope. The CEO claims you will be able to be compensated for your work but never follows through. Previous submissions were submitted by HR in order to give a boosting to this companies ratings which really makes them greedy for reviews. They are concerned about feedback but they never do anything with it. The CEO does not have lunch with their employees, this is just a ploy to get higher ratings. Notice how they never listed where they work in the company either which raises eyebrows. The few employees that do stick it out and try to make a 'career' out of this place will never get the opportunity to advance. Supervisors and managers really don't do anything on a daily basis so you cant expect them to work on anything with you. The only place you can actually make money is in sales, but you will be selling a product that breaks constantly and also giving customers false hopes. It will not be rewarding.

Cons

The system gets updated with a lack of care by the developers and often times the process is never thought out which makes it fall in the techs lap. Management never sees what is going on and only cares about how they look in a suit on the website. Any recognition is only given to people who are popular instead of all the people putting in the hard work on a daily basis. Support is never given anything but food as a "prize". I have been working here for over 5 years and still haven't been compensated for the years worth of work and dedication you put in to this company. People that have been there longer than I have all bad mouth it but they cant do anything about it. If you work extremely hard no one cares for what you do and if you don't work at all you will get the same benefits as the people who do. The company did continue to grow in profit even though they put a pay freeze on all of their employees saying "It will get better" when it really hasn't. They focus on winning over big companies to make their name look good over their competitors so they can claim the are the leader of their industry, but that's all they are focused on. They don't care about their employees or customers as much as they do on the next upgrade that will cause more problems just so customers can keep their support fees coming. If the system was that good, they wouldn't need to call into support every day on a new problem. Too many people quit and a lot of new people are hired constantly because of their lack of concern with the employees. The people that do quit don't get any benefits because they worked here.

Pros

- Great place to gain valuable experience. - Great work \ life balance. - Approachable co-workers. - Opportunities to transfer to different departments within the organization.

Cons

- Compensation can be on the lower end, but if you work hard and put forth the effort you will be rewarded in the long run. - Employee morale seems to be contagious and negativity is spreading. The mindset seems to be "What can Applied Systems do for me?" instead of "What can I do for Applied Systems?".

Pros

There are supervisors and employees who truly care and are great to work with. I bonded with many hard working people whom all felt rejected by upper management. Great way to get experience and move onto bigger and better things. It may take time, but the stress will eventually pay off.

Cons

Applied Systems is going down the tubes and is going fast. Applied fails to value both the employees that work hard for them as well as their customers. The constant changes they make to their system to "improve the software" AKA save Applied money creates a negative work environment for both Applied employees and customers. The support staff are over worked, underpaid and the turnover rate is terrible. This job is draining because Applied refuses to hire more help and over works its current employees. The over worked employees have to consistently take calls from angry customers (and who can blame them, cause the product is broken), and fight battles for Applied Systems upper management because they refuse to take responsibility. The pay is a joke as are the raises. When I was first hired I can't tell you the amount of promises I was given in regards to moving up both promotion and salary wise. My drive was pretty much instantly crushed after the slap in the face raise I received after a year with the company. Yet I continued to push on. I saw morale plummet in the 2 years that I was with Applied. Hard work goes unrewarded and slacker employees get away with scooting by. It is this terrible balance that leads to the discontent throughout the company. The CEO is great at selling promises and doesn't value his own employees. The shareholders are what matter to this business and the customers and employees are all impacted by this. The prices of products continue to rise, the products continue to get worse and the raises continue to shrink. Applied truly needs to reevaluate its business ethics and realize that happy customers and happy employees make for a great company. There is promise at Applied because there are Supervisors and employees who truly care. However, the disconnect between management and the little people continues to send Applied in the wrong direction.
