Thanks for taking the time to write a review. We do work very diligently to provide a fair and consistent compensation plan for our employees and that is market competitive. We also do have an ever changing environment that is driven by our desire to continuously improve and that is influenced by our acquisition strategy, which affects every functional area of the business and is exciting - this may result for some in feeling that the business is not stable. We, however, are very stable and very focused on driving customer success.

I made a ton of money thanks to an ill-conceived comp plan.

Cons

Poor leadership from the top down, including Monte Ford who got thrown out of a client meeting. Couldn't decide what products to focus on, so didn't intelligently focus on any. Chased whatever product or sales strategy worked for the most recent deal (past) instead of looking forward (future). Squeezed clients on maintenance while not investing in product roadmap. Employees were forced into worse pay and benefits, sometimes not even getting paid at all for expense reimbursement or commission/bonus.

To clarify a key point, Monte Ford has not been with Aptean since April 3, 2013. Aptean has changed significantly in the last three years, and has put extensive focus on delivering valuable products to their customer base. With a change of strategy in late 2014, under new leadership, there has been significant investment made in each of Aptean’s products, aligning to the needs of our customers, the industries and the markets these products serve.
