The pay is not competitive. They should invest in quality workers before they start -if they’re not already- hemorrhaging. Not friends of friends, nieces and nephews, they don’t know what they’re doing!!! Aptiva doesn’t hire experienced non-clinical professionals that truly know the job/ industry. They want people with very basic skills and knowledge so you don’t ask a lot of questions, and accept crumbs for pay. The practice manager (owner’s wife) is all over the place. She puts in place processes and will deviate from them as soon as it’s an inconvenience to her, or anyone else she has filling in from another department, due to turnover. Everyone is related, or closely connected, so it goes without saying, there are favorites. I have never seen turnover at a company like this before. No need to get to know your coworkers, because they’ll leave for a better opportunity before their 90-day probationary period is up. The benefits are not good. It’ll take you 2 months to accumulate enough PTO to take 1 day off. Have you ever worked for a company that didn’t offer bereavement? Insane.
