Pros
Fantastic co-workers. I can rely on my team to pick up slack and come up with new ideas or offer different perspectives to provide a better outcome of whatever we're working on. A common question we ask each other every morning is, "Do you need help with anything today", which is not just idle chit-chat, but sincere with follow through.
My direct manager is someone I can argue with, without fear of recourse, and expects me and my team to not be 'yes' men. He works with us until we're all satisfied with the solution and ensures we have the 'why' answered and fully understood. He does a great job keeping us all aligned.
All management in our org chain is understanding of each employees needs, both on a personal level, and in business. They go to bat for you and really do their best to make your working experience with them as stress-free as possible. They have an open door policy and an inviting attitude. There's no intimidation speaking to these individuals, and they are easy to talk to.
I can easily make the claim Aptive has a great atmosphere. In my position, I'm able and expected to work with everyone in the company. No task too great or too small. Having the benefit or working with so many personnel, I can easily say the general demeanor of the majority I have worked with has been pleasant. That's not to say there aren't some bad apples, but they are greatly outweighed. I believe this is a direct result of how the business is ran, how how each manager treats their employees, and is not just limited to our organization.
Cons
A clear vision and execution plan is not always provided.
Knee-jerk reactions to new issues are too common for my liking.
