Pros

Opportunity to get out in the field, meet people and control your own schedule. Decent demand for the services AUS provides. Regional trainers are very helpful.

Cons

You sell a prospect, build trust, get the prospect to buy, and then Operations screws up all of your hard work. No residual or extended commissions. Commissions can be paid on a multiplier, but the criteria to get there is nearly impossible. The company/market centers do all they can to keep your commissions down, so that it minimizes the effect on the P&L. The RSRs are like a gang of criminals and con artists. They constantly steal business from Account Executives, screw up the business Account Executives sold, then swoop in lime "heroes" and line their pockets. Incompetent management. Managers are primarily in place, not because of a proven track record, but because they are willing to suck up and kiss butt. Base salary is a joke.

Pros

benefits and the decent pay

Cons

I was a District Associate Manager, and to put it bluntly, the lack of work-life balance is the "Elephant In The Room" that this company fails to address (other than, perhaps, the unethical standards set forth when increasing prices on current customers). Other than putting in anywhere from 55-60 hours during a typical M-F work week, I was required to be "on call" on weekends in the event one or more of our customers ran out of linen or what have you. I understand wanting to provide exemplary service to a customer base, but some responsibility should fall on the customer to make sure their inventories are adequate in advance of initiating a last-minute request from their supplier. This company basically burns you out to the point where you just can't take it anymore, making getting a job for less money or getting fired seem like a blessing, and I know for a fact I am not alone in this sentiment.

Pros

Great pay, unless you're educated.

Unions and everything they stand for.
