Pros

Great benefits, allowed management to set many of their own growth goals each year, opportunities for growth and promotion. Excellent training programs for new employees and new managers!!

Cons

If you do not know where to find training it can be hard to come by after you have entered the senior management arena, however, you can always find another manager to mentor you through this, but you must make the first contact.

Pros

I found events at other universities with whom we partnered to be very professional, and found an extremely cordial staff to work with. I worked in special events for one of the graduate schools, and found my clients to be very engaging, and the work interesting and enjoyable.

Cons

I had trouble with my benefits, hiring package, and numerous errors in payroll, all of which were resolved by the company. However, as this happened frequently, I found this a bit bothersome. The campus director was very unpleasant to work for, and was not well regarded by the other directors who worked for her. It was not a very pleasant atmosphere. I didn't feel like I worked for very honest people--however, I think this was an issue at this particular institution.

Pros

Decent starting salary, company car is a big plus. This is not a boring job, if you are into crisis management this is the position for you.

Cons

DM's have relatively little authority, but very high responsibility. They are the buffer between corporate, the service department, and the customer. Amid all of that, they are expected to meet sales quotas.
