Pros

They have a competitive annual salary structure that normal exceeds the salary options of competitor companies. Also the annual bonus structure is competitive.

Cons

They are abusive to all employees from the person on the plant floor to management. Very flawed and unethical business practices forces customer facing employees at all levels to keep customers happy by lying.

Declining Culture

Pros

Solid opportunity for driven individuals. High performers can make a good living. Very large company, with room to move up or over, as there are multiple divisions.

Cons

Culture has declined, causing morale issues, which has led to decreasing service levels and increased customer concerns. Top brass appears to be looking strictly at P&L and not as much at customer and employee satisfaction.

Turn and Burn Operation

Pros

Aramark is a great way to develop your career. They believe in promoting within, and take very good care of those that can perform. While I worked for AUS for many years, it has only recently become very challenging in the past 2 years.

Cons

The company is not set up to grow successfully without internal wars within the local markets. They have "Rules of Engagement", and "Policies", yet the rules are very vague, and create quite a bit of confusion. Mike Fadden, the President operates on fear tactics, and has the entire organization walking on egg shells. District Managers quit so often, that the service team reputations great impact the sales teams ability to get new business. The 3-4 offcycle price increases per year make it extremely difficult to renew agreements, and then DM's are not able to reduce rates unless they find ways to give increases to other customers. My Account Executives were very unhappy once they were tenured enough to realize that they were in a losing battle. Our market was hourly with a OT problem. Rt reps now had to find time to keep OT down while taking on new accounts. Growth was not celebrated at all.
