Not what I expect from a software company 10+ years old.

Pros

Challenging projects. Opportunity to inform product direction. Good teammates.

Cons

Projects are challenging because the product is challenged. Software that is 10 years old should not be this hard to use. The product rarely does half of what it is sold as doing and the half it does do is not pleasing to use. It seems anyone who is not hands on, using the product really has no idea how it is used. Especially sales, management, and executives. The engineers can tell you how any single features works but not how any group of them would all work together to solve a single customer use case. I imagine that every 6-9 months the executive and business development teams will have a brainstorming session with sales and choose a new direction for what Aravo is. Then they push this on the product and engineering teams who have to divert attention from making the core product work. Before a year is up "opps" the new plan doesn't work and the cycle repeats. This dysfunctional, wild, change in direction annually has lead to a customer base of 8, yes 8, customers who all have no idea of how or why they use the software and each one does something totally different with it. The engineering teams are tied up making sure they don't break these 8 custom configurations and left little time to actually create innovative software. This is not a software company. This is a sales organization that happens to have a few engineers.

Pros

Aravo is a leading company in the Third-Party Risk Management space, the products are awesome and constantly evolving, So, If you'd like to work in a dynamic environment with great leaders and very nice colleagues... then this is job you'd been looking for. Management is awesome, they all are very approachable, respectful and certainly know what they're doing. The company is growing quickly, the business opportunities are flourishing constantly and the products are getting better and better each time. We have quarterly releases and every time we come up with new features that never cease to impress me. I can assure you that there is always something happening at Aravo and that you will always feel very appreciated here. The work schedule is flexible, I have the choice of working home or coming to the office and I do really enjoy coming to work and interact with my colleagues. I like to and stay on top of the recent business events, new trends in our market space and more. If you end up joining us, I'll guarantee you that you'll never stop learning and will never feel bored or having to do a dull job. No way!, everything here is very dynamic, challenging (read interesting and exciting) and you'll feel it from the very first day at work.

Cons

The only one I could possibly mention here, is the fact that the company does not offer 401K matching. No deal breaker with this, and I think this may change for good in the near future. Other than that, I can't find any cons that would make me (or you for that matter) not wanting to join such a NICE company.

Stable, high-growth SaaS company with a ton of potential

Pros

- Flexible work schedule (Not a strict 8-5 job, you can start the day early or work later if you prefer - results are what matter) - Laid back office environment - 4 weeks PTO - Stock options, good benefits plans to choose from, 401k - Aravo is a leader in TPRM SaaS solutions, a ton of potential for growth in a very niche market that is growing quickly - Smart, and productive teams - people are accountable and take ownership of their work - No micromanagement whatsoever - Leadership is usually open to hearing new ideas/suggestions, as long as you have the facts to back up your position - Smaller company, it’s much easier to get your goals accomplished and receive decisions from upper management quickly compared to a corporate environment that may have a lot of red tape or hoops to jump through before a decision can be made - A ton of room for individual growth, the company is growing quickly so there are a lot of different paths you can take for developing your career within Aravo - they also love to promote from within - Leadership actually cares about you as a person, great communication / transparency - you can be vocal when there is an issue and get matters resolved quickly

Cons

- Employees not based in a local office might feel isolated from the rest of the organization (disconnected from other departments apart from their own, no company intranet or central communication source aside from email) - Would be nice if there was a shared space to find important company information, be aware of internal updates within the company, & notifications of upcoming org changes
