Pros

-Food is great, free meal on shift and 50% off when not working -benefits are pretty good, a little pricey. Great 401k -pay is good, corresponds with experience -the team is great to work with, however it depends heavily on the store and the GM -repeat guests are usually very nice

Cons

-Stores are not allowed enough hours to serve guests the best way possible. -turnover is usually pretty high. Its a simple job, but its hard work -often stuck in position without adequate time to accomplish other tasks, especially when closing.

Pros

It's a great starting job if you're looking to gain experience in back of house of a restaurant. You learn to operate a meat slicer, use scales, proper storage of different food items, and proper sanitation and maintenance of appliances and work areas. If you get on the backline to assemble the sandwiches you will develop speed and the skill to multi-task, if you care to put in the effort.

Cons

The management at this particular Arby's I worked at was so disfunctional. We were pushed to complete orders and have them ready before the customer had even finished ordering, which caused a lot of mistakes since some customers mention what they DON'T want on their sandwiches or that they have wheat alergies at the end. I've seen management literally yell at customers because they did not come up to get their trays immediately. Also, we were constantly pressured and yelled at to give substantially less ingredients than what was instructed by corporate. Training was almost non-existent. I didn't know the proper way to do ANYTHING until health inspection and corporate showed up, and I was yelled at by crew and management for doing things the way THEY trained me.
