A disappointment

Pros

The non-C suite/executives are great people, pay is decent, somewhat flexible work/life balance, ability to work remote

Cons

Where to begin...Arcoro was developed through the acquisition of three companies. Each of these companies had their own culture, benefits, successes. Arcoro really ripped each of those away from their employees. Refusal to create an established healthy culture, executives have truly no idea what they are doing and refuse to listen to any employees who have been with these companies for years. Employees are treated like children and are micro-managed, but expected to do all of the work since execs don't have a clue what to do....not to mention, the product is a mess and they have no idea how to fix it. Every single department has employees dropping every week and execs get offended when leaving versus actually listening to why the employee is leaving and trying to fix it. They simply do not care about their employees. It is all a fake game and you are disposable there.

A hollow shadow

Pros

Most of the remaining non-VP level folks are really good people.

Cons

Arcoro was born through the acquisition of 3 other companies. Each of those companies had a rich and vibrant working environment. Once they were purchased through the private investors and combined, the majority of the perks were stripped from all employees in the name of fairness. Poor leadership decision after poor leadership decision gutted morale and confidence in the company's ability to succeed. The leadership that tried to do the right things were forced to resign and those who helped drive it into the ground are still there doing so. In a timeframe of a little over 18 months, more than half of the engineering and support department employees left. Those who remain are saddled with working with ancient code bases written in languages that no one wants to touch. Hiring to refill any of the lost talent still hasn't occurred even though leadership has indicated that the departments are 50% under where they should be. Compensation is decent, but when combined with the healthcare costs (which are 5-6x more than the national average), it's not amazing.
