Decent company, toxic management

Pros

Benefits and pay are standard. Being able to work in the oncology field and make a difference is rewarding personally.

Cons

The usual, toxic management with no consequences, HR is clueless and ineffective. The science is good to better than good. C Suite is generally trying to do the right thing. Operational management needs some work and an empathy transplant.

Well-capitalized and has decent company-wide culture. Team structure and culture varies widely by department though. Senior leadership is relatively accessible and transparent.

Cons

Struggles to toe the line between a smaller, nimble company and large company bureaucracy. Some managers are better or worse than others.
