Has the Potential to be an Awesome Company to Work With......
Pros
Short commute, benefits package is above average, most people are nice to work with.
Cons
(1) While Airens Co has published Core Values they take pride in, these are simply not consistently adhered to across all areas of the company. (2) The political undercurrents here run deep and are forceful. While not impossible, it is awfully difficult to bring about any meaningful changes. (3) While at 1st glance the long tenure of employees here seems impressive, those very long-term employees are very resistant to change and their pushback to change is significant. (4) There are many good managers here, but very few leaders. (5)Favoritism is significant here. (6) In terms of technology (Mfg and IT) and management/leadership style, this company is stuck in the 1990s. (7) A tight labor market and lack of retention are resulting in the requirement for mandatory Saturday's. (8) For many reasons, employee retention is very bad. (9) Starting salary here is $13.00 per hour for a basic machine operator or assembler. Compare this to Sargento which is starting unskilled folks at over $19.00 per hour. (10) In this company, it's possible to have lots of PTO, call in sick and still get a "ding" on your record while still being charged a day PTO. (11) Policies and procedures are not equally and consistently applied across plants and shifts.
