Pros

AEC is a great place to work where the managers actually want you to succeed in your career. The company does a lot of things to help boost morale which I think is great but it might not be everyone's cup of tea. AEC is very community focused and allows employees to participate in different company organized community events. Ex. Park clean up, volunteering to help tutor children, volunteering with the foodbank.

Cons

Cooperatives are a different breed of business, and they do move a little slower than most businesses of the same side.

Pros

The environment and culture at the Co-Op are unique. It's very family-friendly and team-oriented place. They have lots of activities for the family (they bring in a real Santa at Christmastime) and have fantastic benefits. They eat a lot too, not a bad thing! Pretty low turnover too. Everyone is treated with respect (if not, that's on them). The CEO is very down-to-Earth. He even knows my name and I'm a "worker bee." It's not a small company. There are over 600 employees spread over several states.

Cons

Change implementations are slow. That's not a bad thing, really because they're usually slow because they want to have input on ideas from several different departments/stakeholders, etc. This makes the process lengthy, but it also makes people more involved.
