      Linch-pin of an entire industry

      Pros

      The company is chock full with super-bright people who are heavily committed to the success of the company. That shoes on a day-to-day basis with how easy it is to affect change when there's a customer knocking at the door, but is balanced by a good strategic view. ARM feels like a place where important things are happening and the company certainly punches above its weight with a huge proportion of the electronics industry relying on what we do.

      Cons

      The pace is relentless, but somewhat tempered by quite an academic consensus culture. Many new people find this balance very difficult to get used to.

      Cons

      - Below par IT and infrastructure services, quite a lot of times cluster is slow which reduces the efficiency. - Benefits and perks are lower compared to competitors.

      Thanks for leaving a review! Regarding our IT/infrastructure, since we have grown so quickly in a short amount of time, our services have not kept up with our growth. We are correcting this by hiring additional IT staff to make sure that we are set to grow even further in the future. Employee pay is also something that the Rewards team is researching across all groups and locations. Once completed, we will adjust compensation as needed company wide.       New Starter First Impressions

      Pros

      The place feels like a start up, at least in the part of the business I've joined. IT and HR support were excellent for this new starter. Leadership at the company is clear and values based. There has been a great emphasis on ensuring that new employees understand the business model that supports the company, the values by which the company operates and the goals. Sufficient time has been allocated for training and peers in the work environment have been quite supportive.

      Cons

      Not many. It is a global company, so we west coasters enjoy some early morning meetings over a cup of coffee.

Reading that IT and HR support were excellent for you means a lot to us, as we are actively trying to improve our onboarding and induction processes so all new starters are set up for success at ARM. The early morning meetings with the UK can be tiresome, but you at least get to work with our APAC teams a bit towards the end of the work day as well!
