Cons
- NO upward mobility for those who work hard. - Promotions are generally given based on brown nosing and popularity rather than merit. Occasional promotions given on merit but these are rare. Therefore upward mobility is based on Peter Principal. - PAY raises may NOT be given even when the company is doing record sales. - Performance reviews are skewed - only a certain number 5 star ratings are allowed to be given out no matter how many people are 'exceeding expectations'. - Bonuses are not given (at least not for individual contributors).
